BigHand Conference 2026 | Corporate Event Photography in London

When I was booked to photograph the BigHand Conference this June, I'll be honest, I imagined a room full of lawyers in dark suits. I was wrong, and I'm so glad I was.

BigHand is a London software company that helps law firms run the business side of things: who does which piece of work, how matters are priced, how documents get made, where the money goes. So the people at Convene on 4 June weren't barristers. They were the support managers, resourcing leads, finance directors and IT teams who keep big law firms ticking. Lovely, chatty, curious people. And everyone wanted to talk about AI.

A busy day with five rooms going at once

The conference had five tracks running side by side, from support services and resourcing to pricing, documents and data. The panels had people from firms like Freshfields, Dentons, Slaughter and May and Pinsent Masons, and the BigHand teams ran live demos of their new tools in between. One session was called "Will AI Replace Legal Support?" It made me smile. Not the photographers, at least not today!

We started with coffee and registration at 9, then the keynote, four rounds of breakouts and drinks, and we finished at the afterparty at Backyard at The Light Bar on Shoreditch High Street. A long day, and a really fun one.

How I covered five sessions at the same time

I can't be in five rooms at once (believe me, I've tried). So the work starts before the day. I sit down with the agenda and mark what matters most: the keynote, the client panels, the demos, the sponsors. On the day I move between rooms with a plan, giving the big sessions more time and every session at least a few good frames.

In each room I photograph the speakers first, and then I turn around. The audience tells half the story: someone leaning in, a laugh at a panel answer, hands going up for questions.

Demos are tricky, because a screen on its own is boring. I wait for the moment someone explains something and a guest reacts. That's the photo the marketing team actually wants.

And the breaks! People think the coffee break is when the photographer rests. It's the opposite. That's when the real conversations happen, and those natural photos are often the ones that end up on LinkedIn.

By the evening the light changes completely, from bright meeting rooms to the warm, low light of a bar in Shoreditch. I change my settings with it, so the afterparty looks like the party it was and not a dark blur.

It was a very fun and fast day. I managed to send a selection of photos in that evening and the rest within 48 hours, I captured the essence of the day and my client was very happy and they left a great google review.

If you're planning an event in London

A few things I always tell organisers:

  • Send me the agenda early, even a draft. A quick call before the day means nothing important gets missed.

  • Tell me who matters: speakers, VIP clients, sponsors. I'll make sure they're covered.

  • Think beyond the stage. You'll want the audience, the networking, your branding and the venue too.

  • If there's a drinks reception, keep me for it. That's where your brand looks most human.

A little about me

I'm Lola, a corporate event photographer based in London. I've been photographing events for over 20 years, for clients like EY, BBVA, Caterpillar, Allfunds and Decanter, and I'm very proud of my 200+ five-star Google reviews. I'm originally from Málaga, so I speak Spanish and English, which comes in handy at international events.

I like to work quietly, so guests relax and forget I'm there. That's when you get the real photos.

Questions organisers often ask me

Can one photographer cover a conference with several rooms? Yes, with a good plan built from your agenda. For very big events I can bring a second photographer.

How quickly will we get the photos? You can have a few the same day for social media, and the full gallery a few days later, usually within 48 hours.

Where do you work? All over London: the City, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, the West End, and hotels and venues around the South East.

How much does it cost? It depends on the hours and what you need. I offer short, half-day and full-day coverage. Send me your date and I'll come back to you with a quote within 24 hours.

Planning a conference or company event?

I'd love to hear about it. Tell me your date, your venue and a little about the day, and I'll reply within 24 hours.
